about the game

Remnant: From the Ashes is a third-person RPG shooter developed by Gunfire Games and published by Perfect World Entertainment, set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by monstrous creatures.

As one of the last remnants of humanity, players will set out alone, or alongside up to two other survivors, to face down hordes of deadly enemies and epic bosses. Players will shoot, loot, and level up across hundreds of procedurally generated maps, in an effort to try and take back what remains of their world.

The world has been thrown into chaos by an ancient evil from another dimension. Humanity is struggling to survive, but they possess the technology to open portals to other realms and alternate realities. They must travel through these portals to uncover the mystery of where the evil came from, scavenge resources to stay alive, and fight back to carve out a foothold for mankind to rebuild...

about the project

Adaptation - Perfect World wanted to release the game for Xbox Game Pass on both Xbox and Windows while the original developer was hard at work on next-gen optimizations.

For Remnant: From The Ashes we had to use our reverse merging skills in order to deliver timely and robust GDK builds while also preserving 100% of the original game’s functionality.
